Event: Living our Dreams

A Workshop at Wellspring

with Kim and Maggie

Since time memorial, there have been many theories and methods for considering and working with dreams and dream-like material as a way of tapping into other realms of consciousness, which carry messages for our lives and the lives of our communities – if only we can read their symbolic language.

The things we marginalise or neglect in our everyday lives often appear in our night time dreams and experiences as disturbances or dream figures, strange feelings and moods and stories which may even reach new and other mysterious resolutions. Concepts of the Dreambody (Arny Mindell) and Embodied dreams (Core Process) give us tools to reconnect with our night time dreams through bringing more awareness to our body experiences, the subtle sensations and perceptions we tend to marginalise in our everyday lives. Through connecting deeply to our body sensations and how we sense the world around us, gives us a better chance to comprehend our dreams, and gently wake up to their messages.

We will contemplate these more subtle experiences that manifest in our visual, auditory, kinaesthetic and proprioceptive channels of awareness. And discover attitudes or metaskills which can ease our access to the dreaming realms.

In this workshop lead by Kim and Maggie we will create a space to share our dreams with other dreamers and learn to move between everyday reality and Dreaming. With the idea that reality has its roots in Dreaming, then surely reconnecting with our dreams can inform us or help us find a sense of direction in our broader lives, by making more conscious, the subtle connections between dreams, our relationships and the world around us.
